Full marks for the October Kilve team, especially Esther, who provided us with a really great time!

Our one newbie turned into two when Francis's husband became a 'tina convert, joining her in the beginners' group. The Davettes had a great time in Sally Barrett's group and Paul Hardy's slower session tunes (a good addition for beginners to have a go without being overwhelmed by stronger, more experienced players.)

My patchy musical education was helped by Claire's back-to-basics at the start of each band session, culminating in our show spot on the Sunday.

Martin the chef and his staff excelled as usual, with lovely, locally sourced meals.

All in all, a great weekend with something for beginners and more experienced alike!
